OK, so I was recently talked into signing up for the Rexburg Liberty 5K Run. I must be crazy. I thought, 5K, that's like 3 miles. No big deal. I can do it. It takes place on the 4th of July before the parade. I could definitely do that because it's a long ways off. Besides, I get a free t-shirt. So last night, I began training....
This is going to be harder than I thought. I about died last night. I knew I was out of shape, but I had no idea. It's a good thing that Megan is Miss Pollyanna. I think everyone needs a personal cheerleader, because it's going to brutal. I mean seriously. I'm going from no exercise, to running. Today, I am so stiff and every time I move, I groan a little. It hurts. I'm hoping I can make it past this stage.I don't think this is impossible. I'm going to do it, or die trying!
I'm also joining the neighborhood weight loss challenge. I'm not sure what it's really about, but I think it will be good to have a strong support base if I'm going to lose weight. I'll have more later, but the flyer states that they will help with nutrition and and I'll get a free body analysis. I want to be successful so I'll give it a try. Although, the flyer was taped to my door and I'm not sure if I should be offended, or excited.I'll keep you posted.
